Top Questions

What size should I order? Do all styles fit the same?

All of our styles are built according to established industry standards for fit and sizing. We recommend buying your normal size in all our styles; however, some customers prefer going up a half size in The Point due to the shape of the toe. There is no break-in period for our shoes. They will fit the same from day 1 to day 365. If any style feels tight on your foot right out of the box, please note they will not stretch out and we recommend going up a half size. If your foot is wider than a "B", we recommend going up a half size from your regular size. Find our Size Chart here

Do Rothy's stretch?

Rothy's do not stretch. They will fit the same from day 1 to day 365. There is no break-in period.The knit structure is designed to hug the contour of your foot with a slight amount of give. If they are a little snug but not painful, wear them around the house (not outside!) for a day or so to see how they will give. After a day, if your shoes still feel too snug, we recommend going up a half size.

The only thing that affects the shape and fit is heat during the wash or drying process. Make sure to never apply heat to your Rothy's, and make sure to always wash them in cold water. With proper care, your shoes will maintain their shape and fit.

How do I care for my Rothy’s?

Our shoes are entirely machine washable in cold water. Just remove the insoles prior to washing and throw them in the washing machine with your shoes. Wash on a cold, delicate setting with mild detergent. Leave them to air dry. And just a reminder: any heat will cause Rothy's to shrink and lose shape, so make sure to never wash with warm water or put them in the dryer.

What shipping methods are available, and how long will it take to get my order?

Orders placed before 12pm PST via USPS Ground will ship that evening. Orders placed before 1:00 PM PST via expedited orders will ship that evening. Orders placed after 12pm PST on Friday or over the weekend will ship on the following Monday, barring any national holidays. We offer 3 different shipping options with USPS and UPS: - USPS Standard Ground (Free): 5-9 business days - UPS Expedited ($25): 2-3 business days (Orders placed by 1:00pm PST will ship the same day.) - UPS Rush ($35): 1-2 business days (Orders placed by 1:00pm PST will ship the same day.

What if I need to change or cancel my order or change my address?

Due to the volume of orders, cancellations and/or changes of address need to happen within 30 minutes from the time of placing your order. If you need to remove an item or cancel your order entirely, email us at help@rothys.com. Please put "CANCEL" or "CHANGE ADDRESS" in the subject of your email. If the thirty-minute window has passed, you can return your order once it is received for a full refund. If you would like to add new items to your order, please place a new order. We offer free shipping and free returns, so there will be no additional shipping charges. If you receive an order you intended to cancel, you can return it here . Our Customer Experience team is available from 9:00am to 5:00pm PST 7 days a week. We will do our best, but orders placed outside of those hours will most likely not be able to be cancelled.

How do I return my order?

You have three options for returning your shoes. You can return by mail, in store, or in person at a Happy Returns Bar.

Our store is located at 2448 Fillmore Street in San Francisco and accepts all unworn shoes as returns or exchanges. If you are not in San Francisco, Happy Returns Bars are located across the country. Find the full list here. All you need to return with Happy Returns are your unworn shoes and your receipt. Happy Returns will refund you on the spot.

To process your return online, visit our Returns Center. Enter your email and click “Start a Return.” Check your email and follow the authorization instructions. Select the item(s) you wish to return and choose the reason for return. Click “Return Items.” Download and print the shipping label. Repack your items and packing list in the original packaging. Drop off the package at the nearest USPS or Approved Postal Provider. Allow three weeks for your refund. You will receive an email when your return is received and your refund has been processed.

Do you offer exchanges?

Yes! We offer exchanges for a different size in the same style. Unworn shoes may be exchanged within 30 days of receipt. Simply select your return reason, and you will be prompted to select a different size. Select a new size and it will take you to finish processing the return for the original pair. Print your free shipping label and drop the return pair in the mail (and remember that the return labels are time sensitive).

Once you process your exchange, your new size will be shipped out right away. We will not charge your credit card for the exchange as long as we receive the original pair back. If your exchange size is out of stock, please process the return and we'll refund you when the shoes arrive at our warehouse. You can reorder once your correct size is back in stock.

How long does a refund or exchange take to process?

Returns typically take 10-14 days to be received into our warehouse and processed. Our Returns Team is located on the west coast, so returns traveling from the east coast will take the longest amount of time. Exchanges are shipped within 24 hours from when you request them during the return process

About the Shoes

How are Rothy’s made?

Rothy’s are made from recycled plastic water bottles. The bottles are hot washed, sterilized, then fused into fiber that is knit into yarn.

What are the soles and insoles made of?

The soles are made of environmentally-friendly recycled carbon-free rubber, and the insoles are made of recycled plastic from water bottles and recyclable foam.

What makes the seamless construction so special?

Simply put, seamless means no hard seams or stiff edges that cause discomfort. Our patented seamless construction also significantly reduces waste, making Rothy’s stand out as a force for good in a notoriously wasteful industry.

How are Rothy’s both recycled and recyclable?

Rothy’s uppers and insoles are both made using 100% recycled fiber that was once plastic water bottles. Our outsoles are made from carbon-free rubber. As for our recyclability, our packaging is 100% recyclable, and our shoes are recyclable at the end of their lifespan. Please consider donating your old Rothy’s or recycling them through our partner PLUSfoam, with free return shipping.

Where are Rothy’s made?

Our shoe designs and prototypes are created in our office in San Francisco. The shoes are made in Dongguan, China, where we own and run our factory. We are proud to provide fair wages, living accommodations, and meals, and we promote a work-life balance for all of our factory employees.

Are Rothy’s vegan?

Rothy’s are 100% vegan. No animals will ever be harmed in the making of our shoes.

Are Rothy’s latex free?

Yes, Rothy’s are 100% latex free.

Are the shoes hard since they’re made from recycled water bottles?

Our knit material is extremely soft and flexible and will gently hug your feet with a small amount of give.

How much do Rothy’s weigh?

Rothy’s weigh 9.3 ounces.

Why is a blue dust bag no longer included in my order?

We strongly consider all elements that go into our packaging. We eliminated the dust bag to continue our efforts to reduce waste and continue our sustainability efforts.

The color or print I wanted to buy is now gone. Where is it?

We make some colors and prints of our shoes in limited quantities, so we recommend acting fast if you see something you love! We sometimes bring back old favorites, but we do permanently retire colors every now and then.

Fit and Sizing

What size should I order? Do all styles fit the same?

Do Rothy's fit wide, narrow or problematic feet?

The structure of our knit material is designed to accommodate the shape of your foot and hug your feet whether that are wide or narrow. If your feet are wider than a B, we do recommend ordering a half size up. Rothy’s work well for problematic feet, because our knit structure slightly gives and does not cut into your foot like other shoes. Our shoes allow a bit more breathing room for your feet.

Do Rothy's stretch?

Rothy's do not stretch. They will fit the same from day 1 to day 365. There is no break-in period.The knit structure is designed to hug the contour of your foot with a slight amount of give. I ordered another pair in a different color, and the fit is not the same as my original Rothy’s. Why is that?

While we work to offer the most consistent fit across all of our colors, there could be slight variations from color to color, just like you would find in different washes of denim.

Do Rothy’s have arch support?

We’re always innovating and looking for ways to enhance the comfort of our shoes. If you need more support, remove the insole from your Rothy’s and add your own arch support or custom orthotics. If you do add your own support, you might consider going up a half size. Rothy’s are flat and have removable insoles that are perfect for adding your own arch supports or custom orthotics.

How do I care for my Rothy’s?

We developed our Care Kit to help you get the most out of washing your Rothys. We cannot guarantee it will remove ALL stains (like all stain removers), but it will help to both clean and refresh your shoes. The spray was uniquely formulated to deodorize our material, so we recommend focusing on the parts of your shoe that get the most wear (like the insoles)!

What is the price of the Care Kit?

The Care Kit is $20.

Will the Care Kit get stains out of my Rothy’s?

The Care Kit is not a stain remover, but it will help remove and/or lessen the severity of some stains as a pre-treatment before you wash your shoes. It is not intended to be like a stain remover that doesn’t require immediate washing, so be sure to use the Care Kit just before machine washing your Rothy’s.

How do I use the Care Kit?

Spray your shoes, put them in the included wash bag, and put them in the machine! The spray in the kit is most useful when concentrated primarily on the insole, as it has a special formulation that is meant both deodorize and clean. We also love using the wash bag while traveling to keep our shoes separate from the rest of our suitcase.

Can I return my Care Kit?

No, the Care Kit is not returnable. Even if your kit has not been used, we cannot accept a return due to the liquid nature of the spray wash.

Can you use on materials/clothes other than Rothy's?

Our cleaning spray was specifically formulated to freshen and deodorize our material. That being said, a few of our office employees have used it on the occasional spill, and it has worked like a charm on jeans and other garments!

Does the bag help with microplastics in wash?

Our wash bag is made from a material that captures microplastics during the washing process, so it ultimately lessens the amount of microplastics released into the water.

Why is using the Care Kit better than using mild detergent if the cleaning spray is not a true stain remover?

We created our cleaning spray specifically based on feedback from our customers. The spray is used to freshen and deodorize our material. If your insoles are slightly smelly, the cleaning spray will make your shoes as fresh and clean as possible.

Placing an Order

What is the status of my order?

You can track your order from either your Shipping Confirmation email or by our Order Status Tracker. All you need is your order number. Please note the Order Status Tracker can also be found on our FAQ page and in the footer of our home page under the "Help" tab.

Which methods of payment do you accept?

We accept all major credit cards, PayPal, Apple Pay, Amazon Pay, and Rothy’s gift cards. We can only accept one form of payment per order—with the exception of using a Rothy’s gift card as a partial payment.

Does Rothy's charge sales tax?

Yes, Rothy's collects sales tax in all the states it is required by law to do so. Because state regulation is always subject to change, the states in which we collect sales tax and the amount that we collect may also vary. The sales tax calculations that we use vary by state, zip code, and other factors related to our business, so please note that sales tax varies from retailer to retailer.

What if I need to change or cancel my order or change my address?

How does preordering work?

We offer preordering before styles are restocked because many of our styles sell out quickly. Your payment will be processed when you place the order, and your shoes will be shipped as soon as they’re back in stock. The estimated ship date will be in your shopping cart and in your shipping confirmation email.

Where does Rothy’s ship?

USA:

We provide free shipping to all 50 US states. We can ship to PO boxes, FPO, DPO, and APO through standard shipping.

International:

We currently only ship within the United States, but we’re excited to offer international shipping in the future.

In China? While we do not ship directly to China, we have partnered with Beyond 别样. Through this platform, consumers in Mainland China can purchase Rothy’s products and enjoy international shipping to their preferred Mainland China address.

Does Rothy’s ship internationally?

How much does shipping cost?

We offer free standard shipping on all order to all 50 US states. We charge $25 for UPS expedited shipping (2-3 business days), and $35 for UPS Rush shipping (1-2 business days).

When will I receive my order?

Standard shipping takes an estimated 5-9 business days. Our shoes ship via USPS for standard shipping in most cases. However, depending on your location, UPS may be used. Expedited and Rush shipping are shipped with UPS. Tracking information for each order will be included in the shipping confirmation email. Please note that preordered shoes will ship when they become available. If we split orders into multiple shipments, you’ll receive tracking information for each individual shipment.

Can my order be expedited?

Yes, you can select UPS Expedited (2-3 business days) or UPS Rush (1-2 business days) at checkout. Orders placed after 12pm PST Monday through Friday and orders placed on Saturday and Sunday will be processed the following business day.

Why am I charged before my order is shipped?

Our processing center has a very short payment processing window. To avoid any inconvenience to our customers, we process payments right when an order is placed to avoid missing that window and having to ask our customers resubmit their orders.

Do you ship to APO, FPO and DPO addresses?

Yes. We can ship to you (for free!) using USPS. Use the "City" field to specify APO, FPO or DPO and the "State" dropdown to select Armed Forces (Americas/Europe/Pacific). We are currently unable to create prepaid return labels for APO, FPO, and DPO addresses. You can send any returns back to us through USPS to the address listed below. What do you sell in your retail store, and why is it different from your website?

We offer an intimate, carefully curated collection of our best sellers, newest styles, and seasonal limited edition store exclusives. Our full collection can always be found on our website. The best part of being in the store is, you can see the newest collections and find your perfect fit. Don’t see what you want in store we are happy to order it online for you.

When do Fillmore Exclusives come out? How will I be notified?

Please come see us to see when store exclusives become available. We anticipate two to three of these new, limited-edition styles per season. We will not notify anyone when these shoes hit the store because of the surprise nature of these exclusives, but you will probably see them popping up on social media as soon as they hit the store!

What is the exchange and return process at the store?

Our store offers exchanges and returns for unworn, unwashed shoes in their original box within 30 days of purchase. We have also partnered with Happy Returns, which has bars throughout the Bay Area and across the US. Bring your unworn shoes in the original packaging with the receipt, to the store or a Happy Returns Bar for an instant refund. Find the nearest location to you, here.

Why do I need to wait in line when I only have an exchange or a return?

Our store is small, so there is often a line. If you’re only returning and not trying to exchange for another style or size, please let our staff know, and we’ll speed up the process. If you do not want to wait in line and do not want to exchange you can go directly to a Happy Returns Bar located throughout the Bay Area. Find the nearest location to you, here. Bring your unworn shoes in the original packaging with the receipt, to the store or a Happy Returns Bar for an instant refund. For exchanges, you will need to wait so that our staff can properly assist you with a new size or style.

How can I contact the store?

Why is there a line outside your store? Why do I need to wait to try on shoes?

We are so appreciative of our customer’s enthusiasm! We work incredibly hard to to keep your wait time short. Our store is small, and our goal is to give each customer personalized service so that you can find your right size and style without being rushed. Your patience and understanding are greatly appreciated.

What are your store hours?

Our store is open from Monday to Saturday from 10am to 6pm and Sunday from 10am to 5pm.

Can I use my referral codes in store?

Yes, we are happy to apply it to your order. Please have your valid code ready at the time of purchase.

What are your hours during the holidays?

We will be closed Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s Day. On all other holidays, we will be open from 10am to 5pm.

Referral Program

May I combine my current referrals?

Codes received before February 17, 2018 cannot be stacked. However, all rewards made through our new program will be stackable using a custom code that is sent to you via email. If you receive two referral rewards, your custom code will automatically update to reflect the total reward amount of $40.

How do I know if someone used my referral code?

You will receive an email notifying you after your friend makes a purchase using your code. Once the order is verified, you will receive your $20 reward in 24 hours.

Can I use my referral code in store?

Yes! You may use your referral code in store as long as you have the original email with you.

Can I still use codes from the old referral program?

We changed our referral program in February, and all reward codes from the old program are now expired. However, referral rewards from the new program do not expire.

I found a referral code on a coupon site. Is it valid?

All codes found on coupon sites are immediately disabled and invalid. It is against the rules of the referral program for referrers to post any codes on coupon sites.

How do I share my referral link with my friends?

You can find your link to share with friends here Your friends can enter your referral code at checkout to receive $20 off their first order only. You will receive an email with your discount referral reward 24 hours after your friend makes a purchase.

Do my referral codes and rewards have an expiration date?

No! All codes, both referral and reward, do not expire. However, if you are sent a link from a friend to get $20 off your first purchase, you must click on the link within 30 days of receipt.

The Sneaker

Can men wear The Sneaker? If not, do you plan on making The Sneaker for Men?

The Sneaker was designed with a woman's foot in mind. That being said, men could wear them if they so choose and if the shoe feels natural and comfortable on their foot. As for making The Sneaker specifically for men, we have no immediate plans, but you never know what we might have up our sleeve! Stay tuned to our newsletter to see if that changes. Some men in our office wear them, and most find that two sizes off our women's size fits their foot well (e.g., a men's 10 is a women's 12).

Do I need to wear socks?

That's completely up to you! We designed the shoe to be worn without socks comfortably, but you certainly can pair them with socks if you prefer.

How do I clean the white outsole?

You can spot clean the white outsole with a damp cloth or put it in the washing machine as you do with all of our other shoes. And remember; no heat! Machine wash with cold water and air dry.

How do I wash my sneakers?

You wash The Sneaker like all of our other shoes, except for one very important note! The Sneaker has a removable midsole that we do not recommend washing. Ideally, separate the Midsole (the black extra piece under the knit insole) and throw everything else into the washing machine. Use a delicate cycle and gentle detergent and then leave to air dry. Once your shoes have dried completely, anchor The Midsole back into place and cover it with the insole.

What is The Midsole?

The Midsole is the insert underneath the removable knit insole that we built into this model to maximize comfort and support. We do not recommend washing The Midsole, so please remove before washing the rest of the shoe.

How do I wash the removable insole?

You wash the removable insole just like the rest of our models. Simply remove the insole and put it in the washing machine with the rest of the shoe, and remember to remove The Midsole for the best result. Machine wash cold with a gentle detergent and a delicate cycle and air dry.

Will The Midsole be available for the other styles?

No. The Midsole is exclusive to The Sneaker. The Flat, The Point, and The Loafer cannot support The Midsole.

Why are they priced lower than the other styles?

We're always innovating our production processes to make them more efficient. With The Sneaker, we were able to unlock efficiencies in our process that are specific to this model. This progress makes the shoe easier and slightly faster to produce, hence the lower price point. We're so excited to offer our most substantial model yet at $125.

Will you be making kids Sneakers?

Not at this moment, but stay tuned to our newsletter to find out first if that changes!

What size should I buy in the Sneaker?

The Sneaker runs true to size, so stick to your usual size in Rothy's.

How should they feel and fit on my feet?

Like our other shoes, The Sneaker is meant to fit directly out of the box, without any break-in period. There may be some slight give if you wear them inside, but if they're not comfortable immediately, you should exchange them. The Sneaker has more enhanced comfort and support than our other models due to the addition of The Midsole. It has slightly more arch support than our other models, and it should feel snug on your foot, like our other models. There is a tiny bit of give, but it will not stretch out to a larger size.

Is The Sneaker made of recyled materials like your other models?

The upper is made of 100% recycled plastic, just like our other models. The outsole of The Sneaker is made of recycled TPU (thermoplastic polyurethane). We're proud to make all Rothy's outsoles in house, which means we can utilize as much recycled content as possible during the production process.

Why do my shoes squeak?

There may be some squeaking when you wear them inside at first. Don't worry; it will go away with a little wear!

Which sizes do you carry in Girls?

We carry size 10 through 4. Based on our research, size 10 will usually fit a child who is around 4 to 5 years old, and size 4 will fit a child who is 10 to 11 years old.

What size should I purchase for X age?

Why is the girls loafer priced at $65?

Lots of factors go into how we price all of the shoes we sell.. The amount of materials used to manufacture is of course part of that. One of the other key elements that dictate price is our process and the WAY we manufacture our shoes, and how much time it takes to knit and assemble each pair (which is all proprietary, but its what makes Rothys so unique!)

Do you carry other styles in Girls or just the Loafer?

We currently only carry the Loafer for girls, but we will definitely take your feedback into account for future launches!

How do I care for Girls shoes?

The care instructions for the Girls Loafer is the same as all of our shoes. Remove insoles from shoes and throw everything together in the washing machine. Machine wash cold on a delicate cycle with mild detergent. Air dry. And remember: absolutely no heat! Any heat will cause your Rothy’s to shrink.

Do you offer a trade-in service for Girls shoes because they grow out of them so quickly?

We currently do not offer a trade-in service, but we know that they make fantastic hand me downs! With our unique washability, its possible to refresh your pair of Rothys and pass them on to the next lucky pair of little feet.

Do you have Boys shoes?

We are only focusing on Womens and Girls at the moment, but you never know what the future holds - so stay tuned.

Should I buy a half size up for my child?

No, you should buy your child’s true size. The Girls Loafer does not stretch. Please use our Fit Guide to determine your child’s size.

How should they fit? Should there be extra room in the toes?

Her Rothy’s should be snug but comfortable. You should buy her true size. There is a tiny bit of give but not enough to stretch to size up a half size larger.

Girls shoes can get torn or dirty. Will you have a warranty?

Let’s face it, kids can be rough on shoes...the good news is that our shoes are machine washable if they get dirty. They are not stain resistant, but most play-time dirtiness will wash out easily. Our shoes are made of a knit fiber that will get torn or show signs of wear if abraded aggressively on a regular basis. Our return policy is the same as all of our shoes. Unworn, unwashed shoes may be returned within 30 days.

Are the Girls shoes available in your retail store?

Yes. The Girls Loafer is available at our retail store in San Francisco, including some special edition colors that are only available in our retail location.

Will separate insoles be available for purchase?

Stay tuned! Its very likely we will offer separate girls insoles in the future.

If i am a womens size 5, can i wear a girls size 4 based on your sizing conversions?

Technically, yes. Our girls loafer is the same length in a size 4 as our womens size 5. Where the fit will feel slightly different is in the width. Our girls shoes are built with a slightly wider fit in mind - something to consider if you are eyeing a girls shoe.

How do I check my gift card balance?

How do I redeem my gift card?

When you’re ready to check out, click on the Gift Card or Discount Code box and type in the code found on the back of your crd. Click Apply, and your credit will be automatically applied to your order.

Can I get Rothy’s gift-wrapped?

We don’t currently offer gift-wrapping, because we strive to be as eco-conscious as possible. However, Rothy’s do arrive in a compact, low-waste box that’s easy to wrap and fits neatly into a medium gift bag.

How do I send a gift card?

After following the steps above, you have two options for sending a gift card. You can purchase a digital version that you can choose to send directly to the recipient on a specific date. The physical gift card is delivered via USPS to the shipping address you specify. You can personalize your gift with a special message in the Order Notes box. Gift cards are non-refundable.

What are my gift card options?

Rothy’s gift cards come in both physical and digital form—in increments of $50, $125 and $145. Both can be purchased at rothys.com by clicking here or through the Give Rothy’s link at the bottom of our homepage.

Does Rothy’s have special promotions, coupons or rebates?

We don’t usually offer special promotions, but sign up for our newsletter here and we’ll keep you updated. We do have our Refer-a-Friend program. Send your referral code to a friend (or ten!), and you’ll both receive $20 off when they make their first purchase. Only one discount code may be used per order.

Do you have a teacher discount?

Who is eligible for the discount?

Current US K-12 teachers, college faculty, and staff who are verified by Rothy’s partner, SheerID, are eligible for 20% off select styles. If you have any questions about the verification process, please use the Information Form in the SheerID FAQ page found on the verification pop-up. We will not be able to offer the discount if you are not successfully verified by SheerID.

How do I access the discount?

All you have to do is verify that you are a teacher here. Once you are verified, you will receive a pop-up with your unique code that works for one order here. You will also receive an email with the code.

If necessary, you will be asked to upload a piece of documentation showing that you are currently a teacher. Once SheerID receives this and processes your information, they will email you with your code. Save code and apply at checkout to redeem offer.

Teachers are eligible to receive 2 unique single-use codes. Teachers may purchase multiple shoes in one order, and the discount will apply to all shoes eligible for this discount. After you’ve received your first code, complete the verification process again to get the second. Remember that the codes are exclusively for teachers. If you share your code, you will lose the opportunity to use it yourself.

These codes cannot be combined with any other offers or promotions, including Refer-a-Friend, and they cannot be retroactively applied to previously purchased shoes.

How long is the discount available?

This discount is only available for a limited time while shoes last, so order yours before they sell out.

How do I send shoes to my friend who is a breast cancer survivor or fighter?

-Purchase any pair of shoes in the month of October. The campaign starts on October 1st and will last as long as supplies last. -After your order is placed, click “Send a Gift” on the order confirmation page. -Select the pink pair you want to send to your loved one, and write a short paragraph about her story. -Enter her name and email address and then send her the link via email or text message (or however you like!). The link will prompt them to select their desired size and style out of the Breast Cancer Awareness styles. (You will also get a copy of the link via email just in case.) -Your loved one can then click on the link sent to her to select her desired size and shipping address.

My friend sent me a pink shoe, but it’s the wrong size. Can I exchange the size?

Yes, you can exchange sizes while supplies last. Please contact help@rothys.com with your order number to process an exchange.

My friend sent me a pink shoe, but I don’t like the color. Can I exchange for a different color?

These gifted shoes can be exchanged for a different size only, while supplies last. If your size is out stock, we cannot exchange for a different color. Please contact help@rothys.com with your order number and requested size.

What if my friend’s size is out of stock? Can I send her a different color?

There is only a limited quantity of these pink shoes available, so once they are out of stock, they will no longer be available. We are only offering this gift option for these three pink styles.

How long is the BCA promotion going on for?

The Breast Cancer Awareness Month Gift Promotion is running through October, while supplies last.

I bought a pair before the promotion. Can I still send a gift to a survivor?

Because Breast Cancer Awareness Month starts on October 1st, all purchases made in October are eligible to send a gift to a loved one battling breast cancer. The promotion will run while supplies last.

Where did the name “Rothy’s” come from?

Our co-founders are Roth Martin and Stephen Hawthornthwaite, or “Hawthy” as we like to call him. Roth plus Hawthy equals Rothy’s!

Rothy’s are made using a knit technology process that’s designed to drastically reduce waste. They’re digitally-engineered but hand-assembled, ensuring they’re of the highest caliber and quality. Do you have an extended return and exchange policy for the holidays?

Yes! All purchases made in November and December can be returned or exchanged by January 31st.

What if the person I gifted shoes to needs a different size or color?

No problem. Your friend can process a gift exchange on our return page and click "Return a Gift." Your friend will be issued a prepaid return label. Once we receive the shoes back, she will be emailed a gift card to purchase whatever she likes!

Yes! You can purchase a gift card here. We also offer our "Send a Gift" feature so that you can send your friend exactly what she wants.

Do you offer gift wrapping?

Because we are a company that strives for minimal waste in order to protect the enviroment, we do not offer gift wrapping. However, our box fits perfectly inside a medium gift bag or makes the perfect package when topped with a bow!

My friend bought me a gift, but when I did a gift exchange and received my gift card, the refunded amount was not for what the shoes cost. Did my friend use a diiscount code?

Yes, your friend used a discount code. Like other retailers, we only refund what the original purchaser paid. You can pay the balance with a credit card or another gift card!
