How are Rothy’s sustainable products made?

Rothy's accessories start as plastic bottles collected within 30 miles of the coastline of the world's oceans. We take the plastic bottles headed for the landfills or waterways and craft them into modern, comfortable styles.

Rothy's journey to creating the best vegan shoes starts at our factory. We were certified as a San Francisco Green Business in 2018. Rothy's became part of China's Green Textile Association in 2020 to further our commitment to creating sustainable shoes. Now, we'll achieve our zero-waste goals in 2022.

Our factory is 100% owned, meaning we have the most control over how we make our shoes. Precision-knitting technology reduces material waste by 30%. Then, artisans handcraft each shoe with the finishing touches, including our signature Rothy's logo.
