How to wash your Rothy’s.

Have you done your laundry yet? From our shoes to our bags, everything we make is entirely machine washable. We’ve always believed in designing products that are built to last—so you can rest easy knowing they’ll stay with you for the long haul.

While you can toss all your Rothy's in the washing machine, there are a few different ways that they like to clean up. Find the styles you’re looking for below—and get ready to take them places.

P.S. Eyeing our new hemp shoes and bags? Great news: They can be washed exactly the same way as their corresponding styles made with our signature thread. Simply find the silhouette you’re looking for below.

    Shoes

Women’s Flats (The Flat, The Loafer, The Mary Jane, The Point and The Square)

Step one: Slip out your insoles.
Step two: Toss them, along with your shoes, into the washing machine.
Step three: Use cold water, mild detergent and the delicate cycle.
Step four: No heat, please—always let your shoes and insoles air dry.

Women’s Sneakers (The Chelsea, The Sneaker and The Lace Up)

Step one: Slip out your insoles and midsoles—that’s the cushy insert between the insoles and the inside base of The Chelsea and The Sneaker.
Step two: Place your midsoles to the side.*
Step three: Toss your insoles and shoes into the washing machine.
Step four: Use cold water, mild detergent and the delicate cycle.
Step five: No heat, please—always let your shoes and insoles air dry.

*If you’d like to clean the midsoles, we recommend hand washing them. Fill a sink or a tub with cold water, and use your hands to gently rub them with a mild detergent. Make sure to completely submerge and rinse them off. Lastly, don’t forget to fully air dry your midsoles before you slip them back in your shoes.

Step one: Slip out contoured footbed.
Step two: Tie shoelaces in a bow (if you’d like to keep things extra-neat).
Step three: Pop shoes and footbed into washing machine.
Step four: Use cold water, mild detergent and let air dry.
Step five: Avoid heat, please. Never put them in the dryer.

Women's Sandals (The Flip Flop, The Knot, The Wrap Sandal)

Step one: Toss your sandals into the washing machine.
Step two: Use cold water, mild detergent and the delicate cycle.
Step three: No heat, please—always let your shoes and insoles air dry.

Pro tip: If you don’t want to run a full cycle, you can spot clean your sandals. Simply take a toothbrush and gently scrub your shoes with a drop of mild detergent. Wipe them down with a clean, damp towel—and as always, don’t forget to fully air dry before you slip them on again.

    Men's Sneakers (The RS01 Sneaker)
