Strolling Through NYC in Your Rothy’s: Walking Guide

This spring, we’re hitting the ground running (or casually strolling, if we’re being honest) down our favorite NYC streets. Follow along as we take you to some of our most trusted neighborhood spots, in our most trusted Rothy’s.

Plant-filled storefront of a Tribeca café.

Tribeca:

Take your cobalt birdseye flats for an outdoor workout in Tribeca’s Washington Market Park, then refuel with brunch at Locanda Verde. Check out the action at Pier 25 on the Hudson, before settling in for a cozy dinner at Tiny’s and the Bar Upstairs.

West Village:

Start your morning at Jack’s Stir Brew Coffee in your black python points, before getting sweaty at Modo Yoga. Head to Tartine for an alfresco lunch, take an afternoon walk down the West Side Highway, and enjoy dinner at Rosemary’s for produce that doesn’t get more local: straight from their rooftop farm.

Lit up store view of McNally Jackson.

Nolita:

Walk through Nolita in your maritime navy flats, but stop for breakfast (and a watermelon juice) at Cafe Gitane first—preferably at one of their outdoor tables. Browse the newest book selection at McNally Jackson, grab coffee at the not-to-be-missed Café Grumpy, and go for a light and healthy dinner at Seamore’s.

Gramercy Park:

Get coffee and pastries to go in your petal pink points at Irving Farm Coffee Roasters. Make your way to Friend of a Farmer for a delicious farm-to-table lunch, and drop in for a class at Gramercy Pilates before what’s sure to be an unforgettable dinner at Upland.

Upper East Side:

Kick off your captoe black flats during a picnic lunch in Central Park’s Sheep Meadow. Wander into the Met if you’re looking for a quiet afternoon, window-shop along Madison Avenue, and stop in for dinner at Sant Ambroeus. Pro tip: Macarons at nearby Ladurée are an excellent palate cleanser.
