The Espadrille in Sandy Cat


  • Lightweight, breathable upper in a cream and dark grey leopard print with a black captoe made with a unique blend of hemp, organic cotton and recycled plastic bottles.
  • Features an ultra-cushy footbed with a soft, recycled microfiber finish and a durable, partially bio-based EVA outsole.
  • Unique details include a midsole wrapped in black knit and sturdy stitch-to-sole construction.
  • Removable ankle tie in black for multiple ways to wear.

Washing Instructions

  • All of our styles are machine washable—so they last for the long haul.
  • Remove ankle ties and insoles. Toss shoes, ties and insoles in the wash with cold water. 
  • Air dry. No heat, please.
  • Please note, due to its combination of delicate fibers, the color vibrancy of The Espadrille may slightly fade with each wash.
  • The Espadrille will tighten when washed. Don’t worry, it’s natural—they will quickly expand again upon wearing.

Sustainability

  • Knit with a blend of hemp and Rothy’s signature thread, which is spun from plastic bottles. Learn more.
  • Along with the hemp, it took about 9 plastic bottles to knit these shoes.
  • In 2023, Rothy’s factory achieved TRUE Platinum certification, validating that it’s operating with Zero Waste Practices by diverting solid waste from landfill, incineration and the environment.
