The Rothy’s Road Trip
Get in, we're going on a road trip. If you’re anything like us, you’ve had vacation on the brain for quite some time. To end the summer right, we’re starting in Los Angeles and heading to our favorite desert destination, Palm Springs. Along the way, we’re stopping at a few of our go-to spots. Plus, we donated $2,500 to offset the carbon emissions from our trip.
Consider this your sign to hit the road and go on an adventure. From where to stop and what to pack, to a playlist that will last for the whole trip, we did all the planning for you.

STOP ONE: ROTHY’S MELROSE
Start off with a trip to our store on Melrose to pick up all your road trip essentials. Make sure you don't miss the bottom of this blog for our recommended packing list.
STOP TWO: BRUNCH AT THE BUTCHER’S DAUGHTER
Fuel up with a delicious meal before hitting the road. One of our favorite LA spots is The Butcher's Daughter. Fun fact: We worked on a limited edition collaboration with their founder last year.
STOP THREE: HIT THE ROAD
Need some tunes for the drive? We curated the perfect Spotify playlist for you. Seriously, we timed it so you're never without music on your drive. And for a mid-drive break, make a pit stop at Oak Glen Preserve on the way for a beautiful nature walk.
STOP FOUR: POOLSIDE IN PALM SPRINGS
You made it to the desert! Celebrate by going straight to the pool wherever you’re staying.
STOP FIVE: HEAD TO THE ART MUSEUM
Summer in Palm Springs is lovely, but sometimes you need to spend some quality time with the AC. Escape the desert heat with an afternoon visit to the art museum.
STOP SIX: DINE IN STYLE
Workshop is one of our favorite places to have dinner in Palm Springs. In fact, our creative team ate here recently while they were on a photo shoot.
STOP SEVEN: JOURNEY TO JOSHUA TREE
Make sure to hit Joshua Tree before you head home. It’s easy to spend all day, or more, in this national park. Enjoy the beautiful desert landscapes, Joshua trees and all the hiking trails you could ever want to explore.
